SCƐNTRD was born from the hearts of two sisters of Ghanaian heritage, Charlene and Mandy, navigating busy lives, young families and the beautiful chaos that comes with both. For us, home has always been more than just a place; it’s our sanctuary. It’s where we exhale, reset and find our footing after long, demanding days. We’ve always believed that scent has the power to transform a space, calm the mind and gently bring us back into balance.
Our journey was inspired by Charlene’s 8 year old son a bright, beautiful soul with autism whose world is rich with energy, emotion and curiosity. There are moments when his mind moves faster than his body can follow and finding calm can feel just out of reach.Like many parents, we searched for ways to create moments of regulation, comfort and peace within our home.
That search led us to scent. We discovered that certain aromas could slow the moment, soften the atmosphere, and help bring a sense of grounding not just for him, but for our entire family.
What started as a way to create calm became part of our daily rhythm. SCƐNTRD diffusers are a reflection of that journey created with love, understanding and the intention to bring moments of stillness into even the busiest of days.
SCƐNTRD was inspired by the powerful women who raised us, our grandmother Comfort and our mother Sylvia. Two remarkable matriarchs whose strength, resilience and unwavering love have shaped everything we are. They are the foundation of our family, embodying hard work, grace and deep care for those around them. Our mum, Sylvia, is the true definition of a role model; her love and commitment to our family have molded us into the women we are today.
Although distance separates us from our grandmother, the bond we share remains unbreakable. Her presence is felt in everything we do, a constant reminder of the love that runs through our family. In recent years, as she has faced health challenges, we were inspired to create scents that bring comfort, calm and tranquility; both to her and to others. We wanted to fill her home with fragrances that carry our love, wrapping her in warmth and closeness, even when we are far apart.
At the heart of SC3NTRD is family, our deep rooted connection. Our brand represents the strength of the women who came before us and the love that continues to guide and unite us, no matter the distance.
